Michael Redhill, Bellevue Square

Not sure what the other guys in the book club will think, but for me, it was goddamn Clara Callan all over again.

It did win the Giller Prize, but at least Quill & Quire didn't like it much. (Unfortunately, generally I dislike that particular reviewer's approach, so....) Alex Good in CNQ also objected, considering it "lost in mystification and metafictional gamesmanship."

Or you could just call it wankery and be done with it, no?
